Finally finished the illustrations for my 2013 Spring Fashion Show line (we're allowed to design for fall or winter or summer, though)! I titled it "Revolutionary Red," as it's innovative and, well, red. I will be making these looks come to life for my school's fashion show. Each look has a customizeable jacket (first design from the left--unzippable hem to reveal a ruffle, second design--unzippable sleeve portions for shorter lengths, third design--unzippable tiers to adjust hem length, and fourth design--unzippable yoke-like piece to reveal a patterned fabric underneath).
Aww, thank you very much. ;v; I just recently finished making the first three designs from the left. I had to cut the fourth one from my school fashion show because I didn't have enough time to make it.
So I have a question for you... how do you render such amazing blacks? You are a master at blacks! I was just looking at this again and realized how much black you have here and how great it looks! Maybe you can share some of your secrets
Aww, thanks! I use the colors black, neutral gray 7, and neutral gray 5 for coloring black. I use black first, then color over and beyond the black areas with neutral gray 7, and then color over and beyond the neutral gray 7 areas with neutral gray 5. This helps blend each color with each other for a smooth transition. ^^
